Originally a Chicagolander, Richard Liccardo is a Teacher, Actor, and Director, living in Los Angeles. He started his career in New York, and quickly began globe-hopping, teaching and performing on three continents. He spent the first few years working with theatre groups, writers, and journalists in Kenya. His work in Kenya with 23 local drama groups, teaching schools, solo performance, Shakespeare, devising new work, writing, and performing short plays relating to existing health issues, most important to the community and performers. After returning to the United States, Mr. Liccardo spent several years directing and teaching acting, voice and speech, improvisation, physical character and movement as well as devising new work with the Denver Center Theatre Company, Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School, Colorado Theatre Guild, The Rage, Joffrey Ballet School’s summer intensive and most recently with Relativity Workshops in Dachang China. He also a voice-over artist and can be heard in Colorado Tourism's “Come to Life” campaign commercials as the voice of Colorado tourism for 5 years running. Mr. Liccardo received his MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory.
