Lisa Mandel is a native Nevadan who began her theatrical studies as a charter member of the nationally renown youth theatre, The Rainbow Company. Lisa proudly represented her home state as one of America’s top teens in the America’s Junior Miss Program as well as held the coveted title of “Miss Arizona” for the Miss America Organization (non-finalist talent recipient) in Atlantic City. Her career in theatre and television has allowed her to crisscross North America in such shows as The Will Rogers Follies (starring Keith Carradine), Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, Applause (“Eve” US), and the global smash hit, Mamma Mia! as dynamo,“Tanya”. She made her Broadway debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, and understudied the role of “Ulla” in The Producers. She has regional credits at The Papermill Playhouse, Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, The Pioneer Theatre Company, and Nevada Conservatory Theatre. TV and Film credits include As the World Turns (recurring-Hilda Smidt), The David Letterman Show, Dr. Vegas and Intern. Her extensive background in dance and performance has accredited her as a master teacher at many Universities across the United States and Canada. Northern Stage Theatre Company’s Education Department also claims Lisa as one of it visiting Faculty members. Lisa is a past director on the National Board for the University of Arizona’s Alumni Association and maintains faculty status at New York Film Academy (NYC campus).
