John has been a professional actor working in Film, Television, and Regional Theatre for thirty years. Following theatre training at San Francisco State University, he was a founding member of both Reflex Action Theatre and The Z Collective, with whom he acted, directed, and produced for seven years. He has appeared in over thirty regional theater productions at Magic Theatre, Berkeley Rep, Shakespeare in the Park, Asian American Theatre, and others, and has twice toured Europe with SF’s Word for Word performance troupe. John has appeared in dozens of television shows, including Grace & Frankie, Will & Grace, Agent Carter, Friends, Third Rock From The Sun, Star Trek: Enterprise, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, The Bernie Mac Show, and four seasons of Parks and Recreation. His film appearances include Moonlight Mile, Stick It, and Gus Van Sant’s Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Far On Foot. John has acted opposite some of the best actors working today, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Holly Hunter, John Lithgow, Jonah Hill, Jeff Bridges, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, and Susan Sarandon.
